Church family:

In light of the Governor’s executive order issued today, Swiss Colony Baptist Church will not be meeting in-person for services until the executive order is lifted. Unfortunately, this includes our Sunday morning services, as well. However, we are not canceling our services; as many of our sister churches have done, we will be temporarily shifting our Sunday morning service to an online format.

This Sunday morning, we will be live streaming a service from our church sanctuary via Facebook live. The service will include our worship, announcements, sharing of prayer requests, and preaching, just like our regular in-person Sunday morning services. If you are able, we encourage you to watch our service live this Sunday morning. You will be able to share public prayer requests, praises, and even “amens!” through the comment and message features of our Facebook page. The service will also be recorded and posted so that you can watch it later. In addition, a link to the recording will be posted on our church’s website, so that those who do not have Facebook account will be able to watch the service, as well.

The Lord reminds us in Joshua 1:9, “Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (CSB). May the Lord encourage and strengthen each of us with these truths as we journey through the days ahead.

In Christian Love,

Pastor Jake Brock
